MUSIC LESSONS

I offer high quality piano instruction in several genres including classical, jazz, rock, pop, blues, EDM, film scores, video game music and more. Lessons are highly customized and sensitive to the unique goals and time constraints of individual student. Typical curriculum will cover several areas of piano study including technique, expression, reading and theory.

For beginners interested in learning the basics of creating their own music, or for experienced songwriters and composers looking to refine their skills, these are the lessons for you. Composition lessons general start from a classical standpoint while we learn the basics before progressing towards more modern genres. Topics covered during study include music theory, motivic construction, phrase building, musical form, harmony, compositional analysis, and score reading. We also study the use of recording software such as Logic Pro X, Pro Tools and notation software such as Sibelius and Finale.

I offer online instruction and tutoring in piano, composition, and music theory through ZOOM and FaceTime. A tablet or cellphone is required. Occasionally these lessons may feature screen sharing but aside from a few technical considerations are largely the same as in person lessons.
